Wendell Gamble

Wendell has over 39 years of combined banking experience, of which 29 of those years are in Builder Finance.  He’s a graduate of Wiley College with a BS Degree in Business.  His post graduate education includes an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas and banking school at SMU’s Cox School of Business.  In 2022, he joined SouthState Bank as the EVP, Director of Builder Finance and has orchestrated the portfolio’s inception and growth.  Wendell has been married for 35 years to Calandra, and together they have 3 children: Cameron (30), Collin (25) and Taylor (21).  In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, spending time with his family, and “seeing dirt”.
