Our Impact

Partner with Us to Build Beds

Every child should have a safe, dignified place of their own to sleep. Not every family has the capacity to provide beds for their kids, and for children being moved out of a potientially dangerous situation into foster care, having their own bed may be the final hurdle in the process of getting them to safety. Hundreds of requests for beds in DFW go unmet each year. We’re partnering with builders and corporate sponsors to close that gap.

What Is a Bed Build?

Watch as Tim Nations, Senior Director of Strategy and Operations at HomeAid North Texas, explains what a bed build is all about and how your company can participate.

Bed Build Partners

We have a goal to build 300 more beds by the end of the year. It takes great partners to step in a fill that need. Our current partners have stepped in through:

  • Material Donations: Providing wood, hardware, and tools for our builds

  • Cut Days: Pre-cutting components for teams to come in and assemble beds

  • Hardware Kit Assembly: Sorting and bagging the bolts, nuts, washers and screws

  • Build Days: Putting together the components that make up the beds

  • Distribution Day: Being a part of the team that loads beds into vehicles

  • Logistics: Delivering, storing, counting, and organizing the lumber, jigs, and tools
